Tamlyn Shields, owner of Live Well Wilmington, earned a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University in 2002. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Clinicial Exercise Specialist, and was the first non-psychologist to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in North Carolina.  She lectured and coordinated research studies in the Human Performance Lab at East Carolina University for 5 years and currently lectures in the Dept. of Health and Applied Human Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as well as coordinating the Obesity Prevention Initiative for New Hanover and Brunswick Counties.
